Instro Power Surf - Celebrating the music of The King of Surf Guitar DICK DALE

DUSTY WATSON has toured with some of the biggest names in surf music including the King of Surf Guitar himself, Dick Dale. After decades of touring the world together, Dick said, “Dusty is the most powerful drummer I have ever played with” and crowned Dusty The King of Surf Drums. Dusty was an original member of Jon and the Nightriders who, in the late 70’s, were responsible for the resurgence of the 2nd wave of instrumental surf music. Dusty continues to play concerts with John Blair to this day.



Dusty is also a co-founding and original member of Slacktone, who was voted the world’s number one surf band for many years running by North Sea Radio. As a member of surf music legends, The Surfaris, Dusty has mastered the song WIPEOUT, the most famous drum solo in all of surf music. He was also a member of 60’s movie soundtrack legend Davie Allan and the Arrows and recorded drums on his latest releases.
